Covid-19 Policy

“I value your health and safety just as I do for my family. I take every precaution to limit or eliminate contact. Contracts and invoices are taken care of digitally, using a secure online client portal. As a traveling photographer, I provide provide photography on-location. The majority of my work is outdoors at a safe distance and I never need to touch a client. Web Design is primarily provided remotely, with video calls and screen sharing utilized rather than in-person meetings. When we do meet, I always wear a properly fitted mask, use hand sanitizer and conduct daily temperature and symptom checks.

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has had a significant impact on everyday life. Families and small businesses like mine are being hit the hardest. We need your help now, more than ever. In Loving Memory

Covid-19 has affected everyone differently. Some of us indirectly, others directly with loss of someone we love. If you have lost a loved one to this awful pandemic, I know your pain and I am very sorry for your loss. I caught Covid-19 around the end of August and was sick in bed most of the month. Towards the end of the month, my father was killed by Covid-19 right as I was finally in recovery. I tell my story, not for pity, but with hope that people take this pandemic seriously and also so you can understand why I have the policies on this page.

Temporary Changes

To remain in compliance with CDC and KYDH guidelines, the following policies are in place until further notice. Please contact me if you have questions.

CONSULTATIONS - ONLINE ONLY

  • All meetings will be online by phone or video call.

  • Invoices, contracts and payments will continue to be handled online.

  • Touch-Free payment options: pay online with a credit card or ACH transfer through Stripe or by using PayPal or Venmo.


PHOTOGRAPHY - OPEN WITH MODIFICATIONS

  • Exposure: Photography must remain in compliance with social distancing guidelines (6ft minimum) and state mandates. Any photography that would put us in contact of less than 6ft must be rescheduled. I work on-location rather than from a studio, so most sessions are outdoors and provide extra safety.

  • Waiver: A COVID-19 liability waiver and exposure checklist must be read and signed before services will be provided. This is to protect us both as we both indicate exposure risks so either side can make an informed judgement as far as risk.

  • Rescheduling: Your appointment can be rescheduled at no charge. If we are required to return on lockdown, you can credit your payment to another date in the future.

  • Masks: Clients are encouraged to wear a mask at all times except while being photographed. Masks and hand sanitizer are available free of charge. I can not force you to wear a mask, however I and my assistant will be wearing one and we will be maintaining social distance. If at any time a client purposefully attempts to risk exposure, such or attempts to remove my mask or the mask of others, the session is immediately cancelled and non-refundable. Police will be called if the client doesn’t allow me to leave peacefully. Please be considerate, I have two children and elderly neighbors to consider along with my other clients who may have pre-existing conditions.


LAB ORDERS - OPEN WITH SLOWER SHIPPING TIMES

  • Print and product orders are still available, however some vendors have fully closed and others are experiencing significant delays due to reduction in staff. Shipping times are also longer, this is outside of my control, but I apologize for the inconvenience and will do all I can to get your orders to you promptly, including personally delivering them to local clients.

  • Don’t need prints immediately? Images are delivered digitally and safely archived online, so there is no need to order until after life has returned to normal. This means you can help reduce the burden on an already overwhelmed mail system. If you choose to wait, I’ll honor the prices I had at the time of your session.


WEB DESIGN - OPEN & UNAFFECTED

Website setup and design services remain unchanged and will still be handled remotely by email, video call or screen-sharing. There is no need to meet in-person during any stage of web design and development.

  • Any deliverables (logo, photos, copy) should be sent by email or online file sharing services such as Google Drive.

  • I will still be maintaining websites and social media on our contracted schedule. Please remember to submit content for editing as usual.


CUSTOMER SERVICE - UPDATED

  • Hours will be limited, please be patient as replies may take longer than the usual 1-24hr wait time.

  • Emails and other forms of contact will be responded to as soon as possible and in the order they are received.

  • Although customer service hours are limited, I am available for services anytime by appointment.

  • If you have financial difficulty due to Covid-19 and need to reduce or pause payments, reach out to discuss options to assist you.
