What is your cancellation and refund policy?
REFUNDS? All sales are final. There will be no refunds for any reason, nor for client cancellation. I will photograph in any weather/season, but there is no charge to reschedule due to the weather. If you are a no-show, you will be required to pay another retainer to reschedule. Refusal to sign contract or pay retainer releases us both from any obligation as does not paying in full prior to the date. Please do not pay a retainer unless you are committed* to hiring my services.
*There is much time involved preparing for a session and when booked, I turn away other clients and lose income if a client does not pay in full.
What if I [the client] need to cancel or reschedule?
You've already paid a non-refundable retainer in order to reserve your date(s) and hire me to provide services. Beyond this, all sales are final. If you are a no-show, you will be required to pay another retainer to reschedule.
What if the weather is bad?
As a trained SKYWARN Spotter, client safety is a priority. I have resources available to determine whether or not we'll need to reschedule due to the weather. I will photograph in any weather/season, however, if it is necessary to reschedule, there is no charge. If I am unavailable, I will provide a refund of the amount of services not rendered (excluding the nonrefundable retainer) or can provide a gift card by request.
What if you need to cancel or reschedule?
I have always appeared as agreed and I strive to be reliable. My clients are greatly valued, so unless it's a serious emergency, I'll be there. If unable, I will refund of the amount of services not rendered (including the normally nonrefundable retainer). If requested, I can assist with finding a replacement photographer via my professional network.
What if I can find another client to take my date(s)?
If you can find another client for your date, I will refund your retainer upon receipt of replacement client's paid retainer and signed contract. By accepting your retainer, I have turned down income with no guarantee of another client on your date(s). Replacement client's service needs must be equal or higher value due to differences in fees per project. If you refer a client who books a higher value project, I will provide you with a $100 cash referral reward to say thank you.
I've found someone else. It's not you, it's me. Can I get a gift card?
Sorry, but my heart is too broken to be able to issue a gift card. You made a commitment, I was counting on you. However, I'm thrilled you wish to remain friends, so I will provide a Soul Gaze Photography, LLC gift card in the amount of services not rendered (excluding the nonrefundable retainer). You may share your gift card total with family or friends, just let me know the amount, name of recipient and their email address. Soul Gaze Photography, LLC reserves the right to approve or deny gift cards.
May I make changes to our contract?
It depends upon the requested change. Soul Gaze Photography, LLC reserves the right to approve or deny changes. For approved changes, all parties who signed the original contract must sign the new one in order to approve changes and void the former contract.
When am I no longer qualified to receive a refund?
- an amount has been paid beyond the non-refundable retainer
- client has already submitted payment for an order
- client lies about the weather to attempt to get a refund
- services have already been rendered and therefore I provided my services
- client is a 'no-show' without notice or is rude or uncooperative during service
- client has violated any section of our signed contract
- client has a gift card and would like to trade it for cash
What if I want to cancel or change a tangible order, such as prints?
All sales are final. You may not cancel/change your order one paid for due to the custom nature of each unique order placed. If you are on a payment plan, you will be allowed a one-time order modification.
