BVS Solitaire Collection Review (photos + live screencast!)

I recently had the opportunity to test and review my choice of either the iOS app or PC version (also available on Mac) of BVS Solitaire Collection and was generously offered both versions at no cost to me. Installation was quick and easy with no issues. Both the iOS (installed on my iPhone 6 Plus) and PC (installed on Windows 8) versions have been running smoothly since installation and I'm actually quite impressed that there have been no issues or crashes. As for gameplay, I wasn't expecting SO many game variations or customization options:

"It includes all your favorite variations of this game like Spider, FreeCell, Pyramid, Klondike, Tri-Peaks, Scorpion, Seahaven Towers, Accordion, Russian Solitaire, Monte Carlo, Forty Thieves, Flower Garden, German Patience, Golf, Cruel, Yukon ... It also includes over 100 unique variations that you will not find elsewhere. Plus, you can easily modify rules of any game, thus creating your own unique variations." -bvssolitaire.com

There are literally more versions of solitaire than I've ever seen in one place. If you love solitaire or card games, this is a very well thought out and designed option that could very well be the last version you'll ever need. Not only are you able to change game rules, you can customize the background and card back on both the iOS and PC version. Even better, the PC version allows you to utilize your own photos for both the background and card backs. In my case, I was quick to enjoy my on photography as my background making the game experience more personal.

Below are photos of first the iOS version and secondly my customized PC version.

Yes, it even rotates for a better view!

Cool! Solitaire customized with my own photography! Relaxing. :)

In conclusion, though the overall design is classic like vintage computer software rather than fancied with modern graphics, it allows customization and provides a well designed user experience with so many unique variations to ensure entertained solitaire fans of all ages.
