Went on an epic mini-adventure to a local secluded cave this afternoon. I'd been running errands in town all day and had no desire to rush home after a week enduring a stomach virus and extreme cold that reduced time typically spent in nature. The sound of water, descending in drops, echoed in the cave. The cool air outside was deeply contrast to the warmth inside. The icicles clinging to the ceiling had formed in the same pattern as a stalactite. Some were frozen like ribbons and others were dangerously sharp and deadly in size. I photographed until my fingers began to be uselessly frozen and then returned to civilization.
