My bat collection is growing. I adore bats. They’re like winged cats of darkness. Though their poo is more reminiscent of rodents. I find them fascinating and beautiful creatures with a vital purpose. I’ve collected four more since taking this photo. Most are from nearby Mammoth Cave National Park, one of my most favorite places in the world.
I have waited for years to see an elusive spring snow while my pears were in bloom. This year, wish granted! Winter is not ready to let go and the battle between the seasons is beautiful to behold!
It feels so unfair! How much pet pain can I endure in such a short time? Fair warning, this is well written, full of my emotional pain and will make you cry. My yard is proudly displaying its first flowers of the season! They began blooming two days ago, one month prior to the official calendar date of the spring equinox. 🌎🌱🌷
