The Comet

Chaz and I went out on the night of the 18th to find the comet, C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS). It was a smudge, barely visible to the naked eye. Had we not already known which direction to look (Night Sky app), it's unlikely we'd noticed it. It's impressive that it was visible despite the sunset light below and the full moon vividly illuminating the opposite side of the sky. We went back to the house to get the teens once sure it was visible. Cool to have been able to share an Aurora with them twice this year and now our second comet together!
