RIP: A Farewell Letter to Shadow Moon

I sit here alone, wet and cold, as the smell of bleach permeates my nostrils. It is raining, but I don’t care. Only in death, do we see the truth of how we should live. I don’t understand why you came into our lives only to leave it so soon, but I am forever touched by the honor you gave us in giving you a safe place to leave the world with love in your heart. I’ll never forget you.

38th Annual Cave Sing at Mammoth Cave National Park

"Visitors enjoy the immense, underground beauty of the cave, intertwined with the beautiful glow of a Christmas tree and the synchronicity of a holiday choir. Just one visit inside is enough to inspire the mind to realize just how tiny we are in comparison to nature. As we descend into the cave, Park Rangers smile and nod in welcome. It is a time for celebrating the amazing cave that has hosted this tradition for generations.”

He was my dreamcatcher. I feel so numb. A strange mix of nausea and tears that won't descend. If only this was a bad dream. Goodbye Sphinx, I'll never forget you..."

Review of Victoria Featherlight's Organic Seed Oils

"I am an essential and carrier oil addict. Anytime I can try a new oil for one of my natural remedies and beauty recipes, I'm thrilled. I was offered the opportunity to test and review not one, but three (yay!!) of Victoria Featherlight's newest oils. I've never heard of Sea Buckthorn. For real, what the heck is this? I did some research, expecting some sort of prickly ocean dwelling plant..."

“Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay.” — ROBERT FROST

"This Column Is Garbage..."

"Garbage? How does the Opinions section affect the quality of the News reported by GDT? Should freedom of speech, freedom of press and editorials not exist? If you can't be respectful, don't read the Opinions page. Stop fighting and start listening. Truly listening. For if he continues down this path, the only sound we'll hear is the last tree falling as he builds his empire..."
