2003
I came up with the name “Soul Gaze Photography” while on a lunch break at Walmart in Glasgow, Kentucky, where I’d worked for 5yrs. The name was a reference to how my work is a gaze inside the soul and how at one time it was thought that photography stole the soul of the subject.
Soul (sōl) : the immaterial essence, animating principle, or actuating cause of an individual life
Gaze (gāz) : to fix the eyes in a steady intent look often with eagerness or studious attention
From 2003 - 2014, I volunteered and donated my work for practice. Full details of my experience are on my personal bio, resume on Linkedin, and my website portfolio.
My Mission
To capture unique images that will be treasured and displayed for generations and help creatives, small businesses, non-profits and companies standout with professional images, a fully featured website, a social media presence and graphics.
Raised by my Grandmother, who instilled in me a love for antiques and vintage ways, it’s important to me to build and maintain a professional friendship with clients. By taking the time to get to know them and their needs, I’m able to create something custom and unique.
I strive to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner, but I never rush so that each client and project has the individual attention to detail they deserve and meets or exceeds my standards of quality.
