The Story Behind Soul Gaze

While Soul Gaze enters its 12th year of business, my creative journey spans over two decades. I've been taking photos since I was a kid, built my first websites back in the early 2000s, and have been on social media since before Facebook existed.   

As a freelance photojournalist, my work was never confined to a single genre or specialty. Being flexible prevented burnout and taught me new skills from the unique challenges of every assignment. It gave me the privilege of meeting diverse people across our community and telling their stories with complete honesty. True photojournalism is an ethical discipline bound by strict rules of integrity. Whether I am documenting people, brands, events, or scenes in nature, I still apply the same commitment to unscripted, honest storytelling.   



Over time, my work expanded far beyond photography into full-scale web development, graphic design, and marketing solutions. Today, Soul Gaze isn’t an ordinary photo studio—it’s a complete creative ecosystem. Photography merges with custom web development, graphic design, and marketing solutions to help business owners and nonprofits clarify their positioning, strengthening their local and online presence for continued growth and lasting connections.
